ADVENTURE IS CLOSER THAN YOU THINK

You don’t have to travel far—or spend a fortune—to find your next adventure. Off the Map VA is about discovering the unknown- whether it is primitive camping, backroads, public lands, coastal escapes, or hidden destinations throughout Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina. We’ll show you how to find them, what to know before you go, and how to explore responsibly.

FIND YOUR WAY OFF THE MAP

The right adventure starts with knowing where to look.

Finding a great place is only part of the adventure. You also need to know whether you can legally access it, where you can camp, what the roads are really like, when the tide is coming in, and how you’re getting back out.

Off the Map VA uses mapping, camping, weather, tide and public-land resources to research places before we go. We’ll show you the tools we use, what they’re good for, and how they can help you confidently plan your own adventure.
